Refund policy

At Tapputi, we take great pride in the quality of our products and the care with which each order is prepared. Every perfume oil, cream and related product is checked before dispatch to ensure that it reaches you in excellent condition. Should there be any issue with your order, Tapputi is committed to addressing the matter fairly, professionally and in accordance with applicable law.


DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE OR FAULTY PRODUCTS

If a product is delivered in a damaged, defective or faulty condition, you must notify Tapputi as soon as reasonably possible so that the matter may be investigated and resolved.

If the parcel is visibly damaged at the time of delivery, you should, where possible, refuse to accept the parcel from the courier.

If you accept the parcel and later discover that the product has been damaged, you must notify Tapputi within 24 hours of delivery and provide clear photographs of the parcel, packaging and affected product in order to support the investigation.

All claims relating to damaged, defective or faulty products must be submitted within 7 (seven) days of delivery.

Once the claim has been assessed and approved by Tapputi, Tapputi may, in its discretion, provide one of the following remedies:

  • a replacement product;

  • store credit; or

  • a full refund.

Tapputi will bear the courier costs associated with approved returns relating to damaged, defective or faulty products.


RETURNS DUE TO CHANGE OF MIND

Subject to applicable law, and in particular the Consumer Protection Act where relevant, you may request to return a product within 7 (seven) days of receiving your order if you have changed your mind, provided that:

  • the product is unused;

  • the product is unopened and sealed;

  • the product remains in its original packaging; and

  • the product is returned in a resaleable condition.

Once the returned item has been received and inspected by Tapputi, and provided that it complies with the requirements of this policy, Tapputi may approve one of the following:

  • a refund to your original payment method, excluding the original delivery fee;

  • store credit for a future purchase; or

  • an exchange for another product.

Where a return or exchange is requested for reasons other than damage, defect or fault, all courier and related delivery costs shall be for the customer’s account.


OPENED PRODUCTS

Due to hygiene, safety and quality control considerations, opened perfume products, creams and other personal-use items are generally not eligible for return, refund or exchange.

Where Tapputi, in its sole discretion, accepts the return of an opened product and the product passes inspection, Tapputi reserves the right to deduct:

  • a 20% handling fee; and

  • any applicable courier or return-related costs

from any refund amount that may be approved.


DELIVERY ADDRESS AND FAILED DELIVERY

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all delivery details, including the delivery address and contact information, are complete and accurate at the time the order is placed.

If a parcel is returned to Tapputi due to:

  • an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer; or

  • the customer being unavailable or unreachable for delivery,

Tapputi reserves the right to charge an additional delivery fee before the parcel is re-dispatched.

If a parcel is returned, delayed or misdelivered due to an error attributable to Tapputi or its courier partner, and not due to any act or omission on the part of the customer, Tapputi shall bear the cost of re-delivery.


REFUND AND RETURN PROCEDURE

To ensure that all returns and refund requests are handled efficiently and transparently, the following procedure applies:

Step 1: Contact Support

You must contact Tapputi’s support team by email or WhatsApp and provide:

  • your order number;

  • a clear description of the issue; and

  • photographs or other supporting information, where applicable.

Step 2: Return Approval

Tapputi will assess the request and confirm whether the return, refund, exchange or store credit request has been approved.

Step 3: Return of Product

If the request is approved, Tapputi will provide the relevant return instructions.

Step 4: Inspection

Once the returned product has been received, it will be inspected to confirm its condition and eligibility for the requested remedy.

Step 5: Resolution

Once approved, the refund, replacement, store credit or exchange will be processed accordingly.


REFUND PROCESSING TIME

Approved refunds will be processed within 7 (seven) working days after the returned product has been received and inspected by Tapputi.

Refunds may be issued in one of the following forms:

  • a refund to your original payment method;

  • store credit; or

  • a voucher for future purchases.

The time taken for funds to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank, card issuer or payment service provider.


ORDER AMENDMENTS

If you need to amend your order after it has been placed, you should contact Tapputi as soon as possible.

Where an order has not yet been processed or dispatched, Tapputi will use reasonable efforts to accommodate the requested amendment.

Where the order has already been dispatched, any cancellation, amendment, exchange or refund request will be subject to the standard provisions of this Refund and Return Policy.


SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS

In the case of special imports, custom orders, or products sourced specifically at the request of a customer and not forming part of Tapputi’s standard product range, cancellations may be subject to a 50% handling fee.

Tapputi reserves the right to determine, in its discretion, whether a product constitutes a special order item for purposes of this clause.


GENERAL

Tapputi reserves the right to refuse any return, refund, exchange or store credit request where the relevant product does not comply with the requirements set out in this Refund and Return Policy.

Nothing in this Refund and Return Policy is intended to limit, exclude or waive any rights which a consumer may have under applicable law.
